This is a plugin we are using here at No Bull Webmastering.

Basically what this plugin does, is organize posts to a specific subject matter. Our Five Minute Install, is where we are using it, and guess what, it will be used here too.

Basically I will set up a topic, called ‘plug ins’ which will list some of the more essential plugins, that you might want to use for your own blog.

Having a series allows you to keep track of some essential posts, all relating to the one topic.

You can read more about this plugin, and even download it from the Wordpress Plugin Repository HERE.

For example, if you write stories, in more than one part, this plugin can help keep all the parts together, so your reader can easily read the entire story. Other uses are for models being discussed, from a specific sponsor.

Allowing an easy way for your customer’s to find more models from a sponsor, can mean a sale.

There are other uses, why not let us know your use for a series or related post plugin?

Another Plug In that is worth having.

Revision Control is about limiting or eliminating, the automatic revisions that Wordpress generates, while you are doing a post. I use it on all my blogs, because frankly they are a royal pain in the ass.

Sometimes when you go to edit a post/page, the stupid revision warning comes up, saying there is an older version or more current version, and then it becomes a hassle in bringing that one up.

What this plugin does, is it allows YOU to limit or eliminate the entire revision bullshit.

Also, in my warped mind, these revisions could become security holes, and believe me, you don’t want that.

There is no doubt, having a site map is a help to your SEO strategy, and many opt for those that produce an XML site map, that sends an update notice to Google, and other Search Engines, every time you update a post.

One reason to use the Revision Plugin so you aren’t constantly sending an update to Google, and they wind up thinking you are spamming them. Another reason to use a Ping Plugin, however what about the most important visitor of all?

Your Customers.

The Dragon Design Site Map Generator is the one I use, that allows me to set up a page, that lists all the posts and pages of my blog. In addition to being basically a set up and forget it plugin, it also is a great page to throw up some extra advertising banners, or commentary on your site. Something you can’t do with an XML sitemap.

And it helps the customer find what they might be looking for, in an easy to use format. PLUS it does match most themes, in styles.

It does update, and takes about 2 minutes to set up, and have it showing. It becomes a page, usually on your top navigation bar of the blog.

SEE IT IN ACTION HERE or at My Gay Talk Blog, HERE.

I also like it, because it allows me to find my posts, and grab a quick permanent link to them, for including in a different post. In short, it becomes an easy reference tool, to be able to find other similar posts, and get the link, to use in a new post. And that helps you create some great internal deep linking.
