Fighting spam can be time consuming. However using Excel, or any good spreadsheet program, can help limit the time spent, fighting these assholes. It doesn’t have to be complicated, but is something one should do regularly. Keeping track is simpler, when you use a spreadsheet. Using htaccess helps reduce the spam to your blog, but there are times when you just feel like it will never end. The truth is, these spammers seem to always be one step ahead of us, and it just seems to keep on growing, like a snowball rolling down a mountain. I suppose part of the problem rests with the idiots who actually buy from these cretins, and the other part, is we often ignore basic security procedures, to help stop them.
