It always amazes me how some people, who do a great deal of pontificating, about what is and what isn’t acceptable. They question the ethics, the morals, of those who even think of using objectionable images, and yet when they post such an image, it is somehow okay. I really don’t get the double standard they have. Continue reading

There is so many different terms, that a guy can become paranoid, or worse, running for cover. Still, there are things that sound complicated, are to a degree, but are essential in maintaining a lucrative online business. Validating pages is one of those, that just scare the crap out of me, because it deals with code & rules. I am not good at rules, but putting the fear aside, it makes sense to follow the proper rules for what code, goes where. Continue reading

Why do many programs suggest that you log out, when finished. Many affiliate sites, have that, but wordpress suggests you always exit your admin section, by signing out. Gmail even recommends you log out, when finished checking your email, so is there some exploit we are missing? Some security hole we aren’t aware of? Continue reading

Using htaccess helps reduce the spam to your blog, but there are times when you just feel like it will never end. The truth is, these spammers seem to always be one step ahead of us, and it just seems to keep on growing, like a snowball rolling down a mountain. I suppose part of the problem rests with the idiots who actually buy from these cretins, and the other part, is we often ignore basic security procedures, to help stop them. HTACCESS is a simple solution, not ideal, but it can help, in the fight against unwanted spam, but like anything, it takes a bit of work to set up, and maintain. Continue reading

The trap we all fall into, is we get wrapped up in the thrill, the excitement of seeing our efforts come to fruition. We want our ‘baby’ to take its first step, before it is even all the way out of the womb. And that works against us, in the long run. Slow & steady does win the race, but damn, it is hard to not try to sprint to the finish line, even when you can’t even see it ahead. Planning now, saves extra boring work, later on, but we never do it, though we mean to. Don’t we? Continue reading

The whole conept of linking, can be convoluted, unless you are organized, and unless you have a good grasp of the essentials. Linking strategies can be the difference between profits, and going bust. You need to research your competition, not just for keywords, but for who links to them, who they link to. It is those inbound links that can help raise your presence in the major search engine indices, which means more refined traffic, which means more sales, and that of course, means more profits. And who doesn’t want more money? Continue reading
