Geo Target Processing at ccBill
The processor wars seem to be heating up these days.
First it was Epoch with its integration of a cascade billing program, then Segpay was taken over by NATS, allowing for that management program to become integrated into Segpay, and now ccBill has announced it cascade billing and geo target pricing for Webmasters.
To begin with, both Epoch and ccBill now have cascade billing, but there is a difference. With Epoch you have to have them as the main billing processor, while the newly released version from ccBill will let you decide the order of companies in your billing cascade. In short, if you want it to be Epoch, you can have that as your primary biller, using ccBill next or third or where ever you wish.
Now that is gutsy, and shows a lot of confidence in their product.
Then there is the ability to provide customers with the sale in their own currency. If you have a lot of European Traffic, and sign ups, this can be a nice added revenue for you, given the state of the US Dollar these days.
So what is next on the horizon for Epoch, what tasty goodies will they offer to secure Webmasters?
As to Segpay, well many on the forums lay claim that it is operated by the former IBill crowd, but the issue for me is that NATS is now in charge. Given the recent way they handled a security exploit, I don’t know if I’d want the same crowd handling my processing.
