On Weblog Tools Collection, which you can find listed in your admin of Wordpress, is a software solution on installing and running Wordpress locally on your own computer. From reading the first part, it is something that I think is going to really help me out.

I want to tinker with building my own theme, and this will let me play without having to worry about ruining any existing blog that is live. It supposedly simulates a live blog on your hard drive, with all the important aspects such as PHP and all that geeky stuff I know nothing about.

For myself I am going to install this program on my external hard drive. Have tons of room there, so it should not interfere with the shrinking space on my main hard drive.
