Do we apply different standards to other sites we market, than our own sites?
Do we expect the sites we promote, to have no traffic leaks, so that we get full credit, while at the same time having numerous traffic leaks on our own pages? Shouldn’t we keep our own marketing in line with what we expect others to do?

Being a webmaster is about wearing many different hats. From being the head of accounting, to the chief of shipping, a webmaster does it all, and has to do it all well, or they won’t be in business long. Being a webmaster isn’t just a glorified title for running a hobby site, it is about being a sales agent, a designer, an advertising agency, and a lot more. It isn’t a nine to five job, but a job that takes long hours of work, and even then it might not succeed.
