ICANN is once more visiting the issue of whether or not to implement a new Top Level Domain extension, this being the XXX brand which in essence would require any site dealing with adult material to be segregated behind a XXX extension instead of a Dot Com or Dot Net designation.

The Public, you and me, have until March 9th this time around to comment on whether we are for or against this segregation attempt by ICM Registry. Frankly, support for this TLD is akin to those wishing to isolate any minority behind a barrier, so it becomes easier pickings when wanting to do them harm. Laugh at it if you will, as many did in the ghetto’s of Europe when HITLER seized power.

It is important that you EMAIL ICANN YOUR COMMENT so that this proposal can be denied once again. It is a war of attrition I think, because this well financed group continues to push its agenda of segregation and isolation, based on the mis-conception that it will protect children. The odds of this preventing one added minor from accessing adult material is nil really, and let’s face it. Those who do prey on children, are already criminals, and they don’t follow the laws now, why should they in the future?

It is you and me who pay for this hunt, this assault on one’s individual freedoms and rights of expression. It becomes easier to cut off Search Engine listings when we are all behind a common barrier, lot harder if we are part of the entire system. This is why they want us segregated, to eventually push their values, their morality on everyone. I for one oppose it, how about you?
