Britain Following Uncle Sam?

It seems these days, you hear a lot about 2257 inspections in the States, the resurfacing of the XXX TLD at ICANN, and then the crackdowns in the United Kingdom. The latest being someone who bought sex videos from the States, copied them and resold them online. Clear violation of copyright laws but he was prosecuted for breaking the law that deals with selling R18 products. (see Story)

Clearly it shows you that copyright enfringement isn’t a priority, but stopping that nasty porn sure is. I don’t get how selective various Governments are these days. I mean the guy broke the law, yes, but he got nailed on one when he broke more than one law. Surely it shouldn’t matter as to which law is more severe, surely you prosecute for ALL violations of the law?

Least if you are serious about enforcing the laws of the land.
