Exit Consoles are code generated pages, or half pages, that pop up when a customer is leaving your site.
These code pop ups usually contain clickable links to other sites, that the current site is either partnered with, or selling. They are supposed marketing tactics, designed to try and maximize the opportunity to sell the surfer something.
The problem with this typ of marketing, is it risks pissing off the customer, and when a person leaves your site, it doesn’t always mean they won’t become a customer.
People take their time, before signing up or buying, so exit consoles run the risk of losing a future sale.
