Glossary of TermsOver at Adult Forums 247, in their blogs, Brent made an interesting post, about validating one’s site. Now, frankly I have never given it much thought, because code and me, well, we have a casual relationship.

I tell it what to do, and it thinks about it, or I wind up finding some other code that sort of makes the other code do what I need.  Mostly I just open up the box, plug it in, and start tooting down the information highway.

However, what Brent says, makes a lot more sense than what I have been, ignoring.

To begin with, if having valid code makes your pages load faster, then it does make a whole lot of economic sense, to do just that. Validate. The logic is there, because obviously, if a browser needs to try and figure out what you want, instead of knowing, it obviously will take more time.

By the way, do you know how long your site takes to load?

No Bull Webmastering takes about 2.984 seconds to load the first page, which isn’t bad. Now, think about it, because this site uses a VALIDATED BLOG THEME.

I can say, without hesitation, that many of the terms used, boggle my mind, and it has scared me off, of doing things perhaps I should have done, long before now. If you want to find out your own page load speed, then check in at Numion Stopwatch.  It is a free tool, and it might open your eyes, and help solve some issues for you.

If your page is loading slow, it can be why you aren’t making money.

People are impatient, and take that to the bank, as I am one of those people. So how come I haven’t paid more attention to my own page load speeds? Fear & Laziness.

I did a check, and I think I did pretty good. I only had 25 errors & 8 warnings for my main site page. Now if I can only figure out what the hell they all meant, I might be onto the road of making my stuff load faster, and thus, make my wallet fatter.

So if I were you, take a good look at what Brent has written. It can save you a lot of time, as you begin your building projects. The way he lays it out, is something, even a blond like me, can figure out and more importantly, understand.
